1. Who We Are

This policy explains how DOT DEED (dotdeed.com) collects, uses, and protects your personal information. By using our site, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: your email address, an automatically generated username, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive the profile information Google shares with us (e.g. name and email).
Order information: recipient name, shipping address, certificate design details, and the certificate image you upload. For gifted domains, the buyer's and recipient's email addresses and any redemption codes.
Domain claim information: if you claim a gifted domain, the registrant contact details you provide (name, email, address, phone).
Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Usage data: via Google Analytics (GA4), we collect anonymous analytics such as pages visited and order events (e.g. a completed purchase).

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
To fulfill orders: printing and shipping certificates through Prodigi.
To register and transfer domains through Name.com.
To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and domain-claim instructions (via Resend email).
To improve our site using anonymized analytics.
To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Third-Party Services

We share data only to the extent needed to run the service:

Stripe: payment processing. See stripe.com/privacy.
Prodigi: printing and shipping your certificate.
ResellerClub: domain registration and transfers.
Resend: transactional email delivery.
Google: Google Sign-In and Google Analytics (GA4). See policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Fonts: web fonts loaded from Google's servers.

5. Cookies

We use two types of cookies:

Session cookie (essential): keeps you signed in while you browse. Without it, you'd have to sign in on every page.
Analytics cookies: used by Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. These are anonymous and we do not use them for advertising. You can opt out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We do not use advertising cookies, social media pixels, or sell data to advertisers.

6. How We Protect Your Data

We use HTTPS, securely hashed passwords, and rely on our payment and fulfillment partners' PCI-compliant infrastructure. Our server enforces security headers (including a Content Security Policy), rate limits authenticated endpoints, and never exposes source code, secrets, or the database publicly.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and order records for as long as needed to provide our services, support customers, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see below).

8. Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing Fraser@frasergarner.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Children

DOT DEED is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
